Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Review
The Homelessness Act 2002 requires that all councils in England, referred to as Local Housing Authorities in legislation, with a responsibility for providing homelessness services carry out a review of homelessness and related housing need every 5 years.
This review covers the financial years 2019/20 to 2023/24 inclusive and demonstrates some of the challenges within housing and homelessness services affecting South Tyneside in that time.
